Let’s make this easy.
Whether you are considering a home addition, renovation, or ground-up construction, planning a new project can be overwhelming. We’ve created this guide to help you understand how we can make the process seamless and manageable. Our projects follow three phases: Discover, Design, and Execute.

DISCOVER
What are the possibilities?
The first step in our process is to meet and understand the possibilities of your project. This meeting takes place at your home, and it is your opportunity to familiarize us with your project goals and also for you to better understand our approach. It’s also an opportunity for us to ask questions that will allow you to better define the project scope.
Following this initial meeting, we will prepare a full proposal for design services for your project and review it with you. There’s no cost to you during the discovery phase of the project. It’s an opportunity to make sure that we are a good fit.

DESIGN
Let’s collaborate!
Once we understand your objectives, we will prepare two or more schemes for the project. Each scheme will include floor plan(s) and elevations. We will meet with you to present our ideas, and based on your feedback we will revise or combine to arrive at a single scheme that meets your expectations.
During this phase, we will present 3-D renderings and finish palettes that capture the project’s look and feel. We will also prepare schematic drawings that a contractor can use to provide an estimate. The goal of the design phase is for you to be happy with the look and comfortable moving forward.

EXECUTE
Rely on our experience.
The execution phase involves creating construction drawings (blueprints) that the contractor will use to build your project. We will also file the drawings and fill out the applications with your municipality.
The quality of construction is critical for the long-term enjoyment of your home. We will evaluate the qualifications of proposed contractors and also physically observe the construction efforts on your behalf to ensure that the design drawings and construction are in agreement with each other. At the conclusion of the project, we will create a “punch list” (a detailed list of any deficiencies in the construction) for the contractor to rectify.
